Choose your Christmas tree.
Trees are individually tagged by kind, quality and size across 60 acres of gently rolling land. Compare fragrant balsam and Canaan fir, sturdy Fraser fir, citrus-scented Siberian and Koreana fir, soft white pine, firm Norway pine and ornament-friendly Meyers spruce. Pre-cuts are also offered.
Saws and sleds are supplied; power saws are prohibited. Complimentary shaking, drilling and netting prepare the tree for home, with centre-drilled tree stands available to buy.

The farm visit.
Reserve for each tree
Reservations are required for the tree-cutting visit and assume a tree purchase. Reserve once for each tree you intend to buy; one tree arriving in two vehicles needs only one reservation. A booking secures a place and a tree, but not the particular species or height you hope to find. Later availability may be limited to pre-cuts.
Pre-tagging is not offered. Non-shopping visits just for entertainment are not accommodated within the parking arrangements. For severe weather, the farm tries to open later replacement slots; check with the operator about changes.
Prices and payment
All Norway pine trees are $29, white pine is listed at $45 with limited availability, and fir and spruce are priced by the foot and individual tag. Larger trees use different per-foot ranges. All trees receive a $15 December discount. Cards and checks are accepted; cash is not.
Games, the barn and food
Tree purchase includes the Christmas Castle, Nice Fishing, Gumball Challenge, Santa’s Coal Mine and the Non-Mythical Library of Tangible Utterances. Explore the decorated historic barn and browse neighbours’ Victorian wreaths and crafts.
Food is offered separately, including Gooey’Os, Donillas, Thought Dogs, Naughty-Nice Brats and hot cocoa with “Wished Cream.” Santa sometimes visits, depending on his schedule. Leashed pets are welcome.
Photography and directions
Family snapshots are welcome, but hired or professional photo shoots are not permitted during tree-cutting season. From County I, turn onto 50th Street, then Rice Lake Road; the farm at number 458 is the first property on the right.
