Choose your Christmas tree.
Canaan fir makes up most of Snowy Ridge’s field and pre-cut selection, with Concolor, Fraser and Korean fir also described. Choose-and-cut and pre-cut options give you a choice between a field search and a tree that is ready to load. Compare the shorter soft needles of the firs or Concolor’s longer, citrus-scented needles as you decide.
On staffed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, friendly help includes shaking, baling and tying or loading the tree into your vehicle. Weekday self-service is a different arrangement: take a pre-cut or cut your own using the available saws, shaker, twine and baler, then place cash or a check in the money box in the big green shed.

The farm visit.
A cabin, a bonfire and room to play
The warming log cabin carries one-of-a-kind Christmas crafts and is open Friday through Sunday until the weekend before Christmas. Complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and cookies and a bonfire for roasting marshmallows make those staffed days the fuller outing.
Children can play at the tree fort and zipline, which are listed as available every day. Plan outdoor play around the day’s weather.
Staffed days and self-service
Staffed hours are Friday–Sunday, 9am until dusk. Self-service runs Monday–Thursday from 8am until dusk. Confirm the season’s start and the available stock before traveling, especially if you want a fir other than the predominant Canaan.
