Choose your Christmas tree.
R & S offers balsam and Fraser fir as both field-grown choose-and-cut trees and pre-cut trees. The early opening weekend is for garage sales only, so plan a later visit if a field ride is part of your day.
From the weekend after Thanksgiving, tractor-and-wagon rides take visitors into the fields. Back at the garage, baling is available and the farm can drill the trunk for a pin stand; stands are also sold.

Warm up at the garage
Free hot chocolate, coffee and cookies are available after tree shopping. This is a straightforward farm stop with a warm garage break, and the ride schedule matters as much as the selling hours.
Finding the entrance
From Neillsville, travel west on Highway 10 for about three miles, turn right onto County Highway G by the truck garage, then continue three-quarters of a mile to the farm on the right.
