Out On A Limb’s field offering is Fraser fir: trees up to 12 feet are $80 plus tax, while trees over 12 feet are $120 plus tax. Pre-cut Canaan firs in the 7–9-foot range are priced as marked and sold while supplies last. Paying cash brings a 3% discount.
Saws and twine are supplied, and shaking and baling are free. A tractor-pulled wagon can take you out to the cutting field and bring you and the tree back, but rides depend on the weather. Bring only a hand saw if you prefer your own; motorized saws are not allowed.

The farm visit.
A warm cabin and farm animals
The historic log cabin houses handmade wreaths and other goods, with hot chocolate and treats available while you browse. The refreshments are offered separately; the farm does not describe them as universally complimentary.
The restored cabin was moved here from near Black River Falls. Look for the original builders’ charcoal portraits in its northeast corner and the bottle-glass windows in the rear addition.
A miniature donkey and Golden Retrievers add to the farm setting. Visiting dogs must be leashed and comfortable around both other dogs and people. Alcohol is not allowed on the property.
Weekend hours
The season begins the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday and Saturdays start at 9am, while Sundays begin after noon. All close at 4:30pm, so leave time for a field search before the afternoon light fades.
