The farm visit.
See the whole Fraser fir before choosing
Fresh-cut Fraser fir is the Christmas-tree offering here. Trees are hung inside the greenhouse to show their straightness and full shape. Quantities are limited, with selling beginning the day after Thanksgiving. This is a retail greenhouse stop rather than a choose-and-cut field.
The store sells directly from its Calumet Drive location off Highway 57 and does not ship products. Ask about the available tree sizes and remaining selection before making a special journey.
Choose greenery for the space
Traditional Fraser wreaths range from 18 to 60 inches, while mixed wreaths are listed in 20-, 24- and 36-inch sizes. The shaped range includes left- or right-facing candy canes, crosses, hearts, tree shapes, swags and arches; specify the orientation if buying a candy cane. Photos illustrate the range rather than confirming today’s stock.
Outdoor Pot-O-Greens use mixed branches anchored in sand and soil. Bough and accent bundles include Fraser, specialty cedar/juniper/boxwood, dogwood or curly willow, birch and winterberry. Garland is offered in fir or mixed-green forms, with hanging kissing balls and cedar gnomes as other decorating choices.
The greenhouse grows its own poinsettias, including 6½- and 8½-inch containers, with no replenishment once that crop sells out. Greenery and plant availability is seasonal; the completed winter catalogue’s sellout labels are not current stock confirmation. All purchases are from the store, with no shipping.
Make a porch pot
Porch-pot workshops are $50 plus tax per person, payable on the event day. Greens, branches, a decorative bird, soil and a 14-inch planter are included; you may bring your own round 14-inch planter instead. Additional planters are $40 each.
Reserve a workshop place by texting 920-522-3806. This is the workshop reservation number; the store’s general enquiries number is separate.
