Sprouffske grows Noble, Grand and Douglas fir. Prices are flat per tree by species rather than per foot: $65 Noble, $55 Grand and $45 Douglas. Compare Noble’s stiff branches, Grand’s dense foliage and fragrance, and Douglas’s soft needles and fuller shape.

The farm visit.
Prepare for a field search
Borrow a saw or bring your own. Measure your room before visiting, allowing space for the stand and topper, and compare the width as well as height of the field trees. Gloves, older outdoor clothing, boots and rain gear suit the farm.
Tree carts can be borrowed to bring a harvested tree back. On wet days, boots, rain gear and a ground tarp are useful for the field search. Respect any vehicle routes that have been closed to protect saturated ground.
Wreaths, loose greenery and stands
Handcrafted decorated wreaths are $35 and rustic wreaths $25, before tax. Port Orford cedar is sold by the pound, with swags and other tree-shop goods available.
Stands are $30 for trees under 8ft or $40 for trees up to 10ft. Hand-tied bows are $5, tree skirt/bags $2.50 and preservative $2.50. These accessories are separate purchases. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
