Choose your Christmas tree.
McMurtrey offers field-grown U-cut trees, generally 5–7ft, and a separate pre-cut selection from Washington growers. The pre-cut offer ranges from approximately 2–3ft tabletop trees to 5–15ft trees, depending on the selection when you visit.
Noble fir has sturdy, open branches; Nordmann has soft needles and low fragrance; Douglas has a full shape and strong scent; Fraser has tiered branches. These differences help you choose a tree for the decorations and space you have at home.

The farm visit.
Complimentary wagon rides
Ride around the farm during your tree-shopping visit. The wagon ride is free and gives families another way to enjoy the tree fields alongside choosing a tree.
Free hot cocoa and apple cider
Warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and apple cider. Holiday wreaths are sold separately in the selling shed.
Reserve field cutting; walk in for pre-cut trees
U-cut visits require a reservation to manage the farm’s limited space. For 2026, bookings are scheduled to open November 15 at 8am Pacific, ahead of the November 27 opening. The reservation secures a visit time rather than a particular tree.
Pre-cut shopping needs no reservation and runs between 10am and 8pm during tree season. This provides an alternative if you prefer the lot or cannot obtain a cutting appointment.
Cutting help, optional baling and loading
Borrow a saw and ask the workers for help carrying your tree. Staff shake out loose needles and make a fresh trunk cut. Baling is optional and carries a small additional fee.
Workers can move the tree to your car but do not secure it to the vehicle. Twine is supplied; bring straps if you prefer them and a blanket or protective layer for the vehicle. Allow time for traffic and tree handling even with a reserved slot.
Snapshots and arranged photo sessions
Quick candid photographs are welcome during a visit when they do not require props, block public areas or turn into a prolonged posed session. Multiple models, consecutive sessions and organised portraits require a separately arranged contract.
Submit the photography form at least two days ahead. Holiday rates charge for the first hour, then add $15 for each additional hour. The Thanksgiving week and following week are excluded from arranged shoots. Contact the operator to reschedule for weather; refunds are available until five days before the reserved session, after which they are unavailable.
| Session dates | First hour | Additional time |
|---|---|---|
| November 1–24 | $45 | $15 per additional hour |
| December 9–25 | $55 | $15 per additional hour |
