Mystic Farm grows its field trees in five varieties: Leyland Cypress, Blue Ice, White Pine, Virginia Pine and Carolina Sapphire. Every tree is tagged with its height and price, so you know what you are cutting before you cut it. The farm provides saws and carts, and suggests bringing gloves for the sap.
Fraser fir needs a much cooler climate than Greenville, so the farm buys pre-cut Fraser from North Carolina growers and posts fresh deliveries on its Google Maps page. The farm says the number of trees in each category depends on the growing season and on Fraser availability.

The tree varieties
The price list names five field varieties. The farm’s tree pages describe four of them in a sentence or two; its price list names White Pine, but the farm’s tree pages do not give it a page.
The farm also lists pre-cut North Carolina Fraser fir, which it describes on its own page.
| Variety | What the farm says |
|---|---|
| Leyland Cypress | Drops very few needles and does not produce pollen |
| Blue Ice | An Arizona cypress variety; the farm says it tends to dry out even in a stand and recommends cutting it three to four weeks before Christmas |
| Carolina Sapphire | An Arizona cypress variety; the farm says it tends to dry out even in a stand and recommends cutting it three to four weeks before Christmas, and says it can sometimes have yellow tips or small acorns |
| Virginia Pine | Native to the South; its strong branches make it a good choice for heavy ornaments |
| White Pine | Named on the price list; no description published |
Pre-cut North Carolina Fraser fir
Fraser fir needs a much cooler climate and an altitude of about 3,000 feet, so Mystic Farm does not grow it. The farm buys pre-cut trees from local North Carolina growers and posts fresh deliveries and availability on its Google Maps page. The farm describes Fraser fir as having strong branches, blue-green foliage and a wonderful aroma.
The farm lists no Fraser in 3 ft–4 ft or 4 ft–5 ft sizes. Prices begin at 5 ft–6 ft.
