The farm visit.
Walk to the fields or ride on a tree weekend
Take the walk into the tree fields or use a hayride on Black Friday and Saturdays or Sundays, 9am–4pm. Hayrides are not offered on weekdays. A saw is provided, and power saws are not allowed. Choose and cut your tree, or use the farm’s full-service cut-and-leave option.
Field trees are up to about 8ft while supplies last. Yeager’s does not allow pre-tagging, so your choice is made during the visit rather than reserved in the field beforehand. Spruce cutting begins after December 10; choose a fir if visiting earlier.
The Christmas gift shop and fresh greenery
After finding a tree, browse hand-tied bows, fresh greenery, wreaths, custom-decorated wreaths and cemetery blankets. The gift shop also offers holiday decorations, locally grown poinsettias, fine chocolates, local honey and one-of-a-kind gifts.
Baked goods and apple cider are separate purchases. Fresh apple-cider doughnuts are offered on Christmas tree weekends, making a warm market stop an easy way to round out the outing.
Opening day and the gift-shop preview
Christmas tree sales begin November 21, with the opening-day event listed for 9am–4:30pm. Visit for a field or pre-cut tree, fresh wreaths and a look around the Christmas gift shop.
The Wine & Cheese Night and Christmas Gift Shop Preview is November 19, 5–8pm. It offers an earlier look at seasonal gifts, ornaments, locally made products and decorations with wine and cheese. This is a gift-shop event before tree-sales opening, rather than a separate tree-cutting session.
The farm’s FAQ also describes Santa visits and directs families to its Christmas events calendar for appearances. Check that calendar for the dates and arrangements before planning a visit around Santa.
Parking, payment and bringing a pet
Parking is free and the lot is gravel. Portable toilets and handwashing stations are available. Leashed pets can join the outdoor visit, but they cannot go into buildings, and you must clean up after them.
Bring cash if you would like to avoid the 3% electronic-payment convenience fee. Checks require valid government-issued photo identification; major credit and debit cards are accepted. There is no ATM. Tree sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges.
Personal snapshots and arranged photography
Personal snapshots are welcome while you are buying your tree. Professional photography requires a separately scheduled arrangement and fee; it does not change the terms of an ordinary tree-shopping visit.
