Choose your Christmas tree.

The cut-your-own fields are mainly Douglas fir, with a limited selection of Canaan fir. Most field trees are about 5–8ft; compare the individual tree’s height before cutting. All cut-your-own trees have the same $119 price plus tax.

The Christmasland yard offers pre-cut trees in different shapes, sizes and varieties. Its listed choices include Balsam, Canaan, Concolor, Fraser, Douglas and Nordmann fir, Blue spruce, Scotch pine and White pine; particular varieties can run out. Greens, roping and wreaths are also sold there. Victorian-style Douglas and Fraser firs are also listed for a more open branch pattern.

The farm visit.

A wagon ride, a borrowed saw and help getting home

Your field visit begins with the wagon ride: walking to or from the tree fields is not permitted. Use a saw supplied by Linvilla; personal saws and power tools are not allowed. Once your tree is cut, staff haul it back, shake out loose needles, wrap it and help tie it to your car. They can also drill the base for a Stand Straight tree stand.

The $119 plus tax cut-your-own price includes the field ride, shaking, wrapping and straightening the base. No advance ticket or reservation is needed. Aim to be ready before the final wagon leaves at 4pm; the fields close at 4:45pm.

Santa, free children’s crafts and paid animal encounters

Santa visits run on Saturdays and Sundays in the November 27–December 20 window, 11am–5pm, with a break from 1–2:30pm. No reservation is needed. Bring your phone, because Linvilla does not provide a photographer for these visits. During Santa’s break, children can enjoy free cookie decorating and coloring.

The Little Farm supplies pony rides and a petting zoo on Saturdays and Sundays, except December 6. Pony rides cost $12 per ride, have a 100lb rider limit, and require a parent to help the child on and off. Petting-zoo entry is $5 with one cup of feed; extra feed is $2 per cup. The visiting animals include alpacas, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys and horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and ducks. Pay on site with cash or a card; no timed ticket is needed. Face painting starts at $12 per person and takes cash or Venmo. Outdoor vendors depend on weather and the activity calendar.

Year-round Playland and the barnyard

Playland Playground is open year-round when weather permits, during regular farm hours or until dusk, whichever comes first. Admission is $1 per child. Wooden trucks, boats, tractors and trains invite climbing and sliding; the large custom play structure is for children up to age 12, while the Little Pumpkins area is reserved for children under five.

The farm’s own barnyard animals are available to visit daily year-round without a grounds admission charge. Look for goats, sheep, horses, cows, pigs and white-tailed deer, along with poultry and birds around the duck pond. Do not feed the horses. This barnyard visit is separate from the paid visiting petting zoo.

The Playland Express travels around a one-acre track. Its posted fare is $6 per person, with infants 11 months and younger free; pay at the train without a timed ticket. Train operations follow the activity calendar, so check it for your day rather than assuming the train runs whenever the playground is open.

Synthetic-ice skating

The Glice rink uses a synthetic skating surface, so a snowy day is not needed to enjoy a skate among the Christmasland decorations. A one-hour pass with skate rental is $13 per person when purchased ahead; in-person tickets cost $2 more. Everyone older than two entering the rink needs a ticket. Skating is a separate purchase from your tree.

Wreath making and holiday plant workshops

The wreath-making workshop costs $55 per person and supplies fresh greens and a wreath frame. Work in the greenhouse with warm cider while putting the wreath together; bows cost extra. Its posted sessions are November 28, December 5 and 12 at 6pm, and November 29 and 30, December 6 and 7, and December 13 and 14 at 11am. Arrange a class through Linvilla’s ticket selector, where available sessions may differ from the published workshop calendar.

Other listed choices include a cactus terrarium on November 28 at 4pm and Potting & Prosecco on November 30 at 4pm. The cactus class supplies materials and tools, with optional add-ons; Potting & Prosecco lets you bring a plant for repotting or choose a new plant and pot. A moss-wrapped holiday kokedama workshop is $30 on December 5 at 4pm, and the miniature fairy-garden terrarium workshop is $45 on December 12 at 4pm. Check the ticket selector for bookable dates and any additional charge for the class you choose.

The Winter Makers Market and holiday shops

The Winter Makers Market brings up to 20 vendors together for handmade gifts, crafts and seasonal treats. Its Friday evenings are November 27, December 4 and 11, 3–8pm; weekend shopping runs Saturdays and Sundays November 28–December 20, 10am–4pm.

Visit the Farm Market for pies, breads, apple-cider doughnuts, jams and jellies, gourmet food, homemade chocolates and fudge. Holiday turkey orders and fruit gift baskets offer other ways to bring the farm market home. The Garden Center has ornaments, wreaths, poinsettias and Christmas cacti alongside candles, soaps, kitchenware, hand-crafted jewelry, books, games and wooden educational toys. Trees, gifts and refreshments are separate purchases.

Music and ice-carving days

Christmasland’s listed entertainment includes live ice carving by Don Lowing and weekend brass music. The ice-carving calendar gives November 28–30, noon–4pm; December 6, 7–10am; and December 7, noon–4pm. The Mansfield Brass Band’s listed schedule is Saturdays and Sundays November 29–December 21, noon–2pm. Grounds admission is free; these entertainment dates are separate from the cutting calendar.

Pizza, cocoa and a holiday snack

Linvilla’s wood-fired pizza uses fruit wood from the farm. The Christmasland drink menu includes campfire hot chocolate with a toasted s’mores float and Santa’s Cider with white chocolate, cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, caramel and an apple-cider doughnut. Refreshments are sold separately. Hot-food hours vary by stand; check the day’s calendar before relying on a meal stop. The Farm Market has grab-and-go food when hot-food service is closed.

Other choices include raclette scraped over a warm baguette, build-your-own charcuterie, savory s’mores, popcorn, Bavarian pretzels and pretzel nuggets. The Sweet Shack offers a build-your-own cake bar and diced caramel apples. Ship Bottom Brewery serves local beer in Christmasland; food vendors and the brewery follow their own hours.

The Holly Jolly stand in the pre-cut yard also lists a customizable hot-chocolate bar, Cocoa Express with a doughnut, peppermint Minty Claus cocoa, hot cider, Maple Bacon doughnuts and Big Apple doughnuts topped with apple-pie filling. Ship Bottom’s beer garden requires a valid ID for purchases and does not admit pets. Its daytime games include cornhole and giant four-in-a-row; beer-garden hours are weather permitting.

Parking, paths and ticket conditions

Follow the GPS-only address on Linvill Road rather than the mailing address. Parking is complimentary. Paths include paved areas, wood chips and orchard grass, and some ground becomes muddy after rain, so boots are a comfortable choice. The linked farm map marks public restrooms beside the Farm Market. Dogs are not permitted; service animals are welcome.

Paid activity tickets are non-refundable. Before the booked event, use the confirmation email to exchange for another time or date within the same season. Once the event time has passed, an unused ticket is void. Each paid attraction has its own fee and payment rules. Cash and major cards are accepted for ordinary shopping; individual vendors can use different payment rules.
