Choose your Christmas tree.
Canaan and Concolor fir are the two field-cutting choices, with trees up to 8ft in the posted price tiers. Canaan’s short needles are about ½–1 inch long; its fragrance and strong needle retention make it a useful choice for a traditional fir tree.
Concolor, also called White fir, has longer 1½–2 inch needles, a blue-green appearance and a citrus scent. It is offered both in the fields and among the pre-cut trees.
The pre-cut selection in and around the barn includes Fraser, Canaan, Douglas and Concolor fir. Fraser trees come from North Carolina and have short, dark-green needles with silvery undersides, a fresh scent and strong needle retention.
Douglas fir is a pre-cut option with soft, lighter-green needles about 1–1½ inches long. It also has good needle retention and a citrus fragrance. Compare each tree’s shape and branch spacing with the ornaments you plan to use.

The farm visit.
From the barn to the tree fields
Start at the barn, where the family-run farm greets you and provides a saw and tree cart. Head into the fields to choose and cut your tree, then wheel it back to the baling area. After warming up, shopping and paying, the farm’s visit sequence finishes with the tree tied down for you.
Hot cocoa and Christmas-store browsing
Come back to the barn to warm up, have something to eat and browse the Christmas store before paying. The farm offers hot cocoa and handmade ornaments, giving you a chance to linger after finding your tree.
Visit the Harmony farm
The Harmony tree farm is on Grupp Lane just off Route 19. Grupp’s also operates a separate pre-cut sales location at Route 19 and Rowan Road in Cranberry Township; its longer evening hours do not apply to field cutting at the Harmony farm.
