Choose your Christmas tree.
Mahaffy’s Christmas tree festival is a pre-cut shopping visit. Choose a tree already cut for you, then browse handmade wreaths and the gift shop; the operator does not describe a Christmas U-cut field.
The ranch pairs tree shopping with its Santa experience and Cider Barn. These are seasonal offerings rather than a promise of a particular character or menu at every visit. Check the Christmas announcement before planning around Santa.
The farm visit.
The Christmas festival
The Christmas page lists November 27–29, December 5–6 and December 12–13 for the seasonal festival. A separate older event calendar lists a shorter two-weekend festival with 11am–4:30pm hours; those older hours should not be attached to the newer three-weekend dates.
Handmade wreaths, the gift shop and Cider Barn give the visit a broader holiday focus. Tree species, sizes, prices and preparation services are not specified, so ask the ranch about a tree that must fit a particular room or vehicle.
Pets are not allowed at the ranch; trained service animals are the exception. Plan your visit accordingly if you normally bring a dog on a farm outing.
More experiences at the ranch
The separate farm stand opens Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to dusk, with focaccia, cookies, scones, granola, eggs and ranch merchandise. Follow the ranch’s updates for what is on the stand that weekend.
The farm also arranges pumpkin-season field trips. Teachers are asked to bring tape and a marker for pumpkins, transport boxes, napkins and water bottles; trips run rain or shine, with portable toilets and hand-washing stations. These are booked school visits, separate from Christmas shopping.
