Choose your Christmas tree.
Compare Noble and natural unsheared Noble firs at $14 per foot, Grand at $12 and Douglas at $9. Painted trees add $5 per foot to the tree’s regular price; the paint charge is not the full tree price.
Choose your own field tree, ask staff to cut it, or select a pre-cut. Do not cut seedlings 4 feet or smaller; a four-foot minimum charge applies, and trimming a harvested tree afterward cannot reduce its price.

The farm visit.
From the field with help
Saws, kneeling pads, twine and carts are available. Staff can cut and haul the tree by ATV or trailer, then provide complimentary shaking, baling and loading. Leave your vehicle in the designated parking lot rather than driving into the fields.
Customer chainsaws are prohibited. Wear suitable shoes for uneven ground and watch for seedlings. Cash and credit cards are accepted, with a $3 credit-card surcharge; tree and wreath sales are final.
Rides, fires and treats
Complimentary Christmas train and hay/wagon rides, hot drinks and children’s crafts help turn tree shopping into a family outing. Coffee and hot chocolate are free, while cider, elephant ears and other treats are available for purchase.
Browse the gift shop and tree supplies, settle near a warming fire, or enjoy the farm’s photo spots. Dogs are welcome on leashes with cleanup, but cannot enter the gift shop or ride the train. New Santa dates are pending; the previous-season sessions below are a reference and do not establish current appearances.
| Offering | What to know |
|---|---|
| Free offerings | Train/hayrides, coffee/cocoa, crafts, shake/bale |
| Separate purchases | Tree, greenery, supplies, cider and treats |
| Dog limits | Leashed outdoors; no train or giftshop |
Previously published Santa sessions

Arrange an employee tree event
Corporate Christmas visits are arranged separately by email after reading the operator’s event guidelines. A host can supply coupons for a wreath or a set tree value, or arrange operator-issued bracelets covering the whole tree. Coupons have no cash value and no change is given; name every sponsoring business for correct billing.
Fall and Christmas events do not receive private, exclusive farm time. The published reservation deposit is $500, nonrefundable and applied to the final balance. An invoice is sent within a week of the event and payment by check is due in full when received; optional credit-card payment adds 4%. Generator and extension-cord rental is $200 per event. Confirm the date, time and arrangements with the farm before inviting a group.
Professional photography is arranged separately
Email hemphillfarms@yahoo.com with preferred dates and obtain written approval before bringing photography clients. The public contracts list $85 per hour or $275 for an 8am–5pm day, paid by the photographer with cash or check. Both the photographer and clients must complete the agreements; the farm does not reserve exclusive scenes or property use.
Seasonal availability needs explicit confirmation: the website says weekday sessions can continue after Christmas sales open, while the linked contract bars sessions once the season opens and contains older blackout dates. Do not assume a Christmas booking is available from either schedule.
Client vehicles stay in parking, public areas cannot be blocked, hired Santa or holiday characters are prohibited while the farm is public, and all props must be removed. Bring a wagon for equipment and suitable walking shoes; children under 16 need an adult, leashed pets require cleanup, and smoking is prohibited. The contract’s restroom and water wording applies to photography arrangements; ask the farm about facilities for the planned session.
