Choose your Christmas tree.
David Hill grows Douglas, Noble, Nordmann and limited Grand firs. Cutting your own tree is available only on opening weekend; after that, the pre-cut section is the regular option, with Douglas and Noble firs highlighted.
Every U-cut purchase has a minimum charge equivalent to 6 feet. Douglas firs cost $10 per foot, while Noble, Nordmann and Grand firs cost $14 per foot. Pre-cut trees cost $10 per foot, making their buying method as important as the variety when comparing prices.

The farm visit.
From field tag to loading area
On opening weekend, start with a tag, measuring pole and saw. Select and cut your tree, or wave down a helper with a chainsaw if you would prefer staff to cut it. Tag the tree before staff help move it to the main road for pickup. After opening weekend, choose from the pre-cut section.
At the baling station, the crew shakes the tree, squares and recuts the stump, and can bale it in twine. Staff also help load and tie it down. Shaking and baling are free, and each tree purchase includes a free ornament.
| Stage | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Selection | Tag, measuring pole and saw supplied |
| Cutting and field return | Opening-weekend staff cutting help and tree pickup from main road |
| Preparation | Free shaking/baling; stump squared and recut |
| Loading | Help loading and tying down; ornament with every tree |
A quieter farm outing
Warm up beside the bonfire with hot cocoa and s’mores, or take a walk through the woods. Visitors may explore the farm even if they are not buying a tree. Handmade wreaths and seasonal floral arrangements provide other reasons to stop.
