Choose your Christmas tree.

Saum’s cut-your-own selection includes white pine, Canaan fir and Concolor fir, with published heights of 4–12 feet. Trees are individually tagged and priced at $8–12 per foot according to size, foliage fill and variety. Only tagged trees may be cut; untagged trees and restricted areas are being saved for future harvests.

Pre-cut Fraser firs provide a separate choice, with a previously published 6–10-foot selection priced at $70–190. The farm provides hand saws, and visitors may bring their own. Its association profile also lists shaking, baling and tree bags. Living balled or landscaping trees are no longer offered.

Greenery made from the farm’s trees

Saum makes holiday greenery from its own evergreens. Wreaths, crosses and grave blankets are joined by swags, decorative sled arrangements and evergreen roping, so the tree visit can also supply a door, mantel or memorial display.

Weekend cocoa, cookies and Santa

The published weekend visit includes complimentary hot chocolate, chocolate-chip cookies and pictures with Santa. Santa and Mrs. Claus had separate posted sessions on November 29, 10am–noon, and November 30, 1pm–3pm; confirm renewed sessions before planning around them.

The farm building opens for cocoa and cookies. Payment for trees and greenery takes place at the outside windows, rather than inside the refreshments building. The association also lists a seasonal craft and gift shop.

Tagged trees, leashed pets and payment

Leashed pets are welcome, with owners responsible for cleaning up. The farm supplies hand saws, and bringing a personal saw is permitted. Do not cut an untagged tree or enter a restricted cutting area.

Bring cash or a check. Debit cards, credit cards and Apple Pay are not accepted, and there is no on-site ATM. Professional photography and business inquiries go to info@saumfamilyfarm.com; they are separate from an ordinary tree visit.
