Choose your Christmas tree.

Cackler offers six tree varieties for a choose-and-cut outing: Canaan, Concolor and Fraser fir, blue and Norway spruce, and white pine. The published rate list gives Canaan and Fraser fir at $14 per foot plus tax, and blue spruce, Norway spruce and white pine at $10 per foot plus tax for trees up to 9 feet. Concolor appears in the selection list without its own posted rate.

Taller-tree pricing needs a direct quote. The pricing paragraph says trees 10 feet and over are $20 per foot, but also gives a conflicting $141.50 example for a 10-foot tree. Confirm that quote before choosing a taller tree.

Reservations are encouraged to help the farm serve visiting families. Arrive for your selected time, then borrow a hand saw and tree sled for the field search. Gas-powered saws are not permitted; leashed pets are welcome.

A photograph at the large photo wreath gives the outing a natural pause after the tree search. Dan’s Deli is the advertised on-site food truck; check its availability for your visit.

Handmade wreaths and greenery

Cackler makes wreaths with its own fresh mixed greens. Traditional wreaths combine pinecones, red berries and a red velvet bow; Block O wreaths add buckeyes and a scarlet-and-gray bow. Custom wreaths let you choose from the farm’s ribbons and ornaments.

Published wreath sizes are 12, 22, 26 and 36 inches; 48-inch wreaths require a special order. Call or email to preorder. Grave blankets and crosses can be customized, and wooden ornaments feature a farm design made by Tim Weberding Woodworking.
