The growing fields include Norway and white spruce, plus Canaan, Korean, concolor, Turkish and Nordmann fir; the farm is developing its future choose-and-cut offering.
The farm visit.
Tree shopping beside Herrington Lake
The farm currently advertises pre-cut Christmas trees, so plan a visit to select a ready-cut tree while enjoying the farm’s lake setting. The young spruce and fir fields are part of its developing choose-and-cut offering.
Sherwood Acres is a family project growing a Christmas-tree tradition. The tree rows and the restored shop make it a place to follow a growing Christmas tradition over time.
Kentucky gifts and fresh greenery
The Christmas Shop brings together products made by Kentucky craftspeople. Look for ornaments, holiday decor, children’s gifts and coffee, alongside fresh wreaths, porch pots and centrepieces for decorating at home.
Complimentary hot chocolate and cider are offered in the shop. Children have a craft area, and the farm provides photo opportunities around the property. These small stops can make the tree trip feel like a full family outing.
Santa and photography
Santa visits on selected days during the Christmas season. Check the farm’s updates for the actual Santa schedule before choosing a day around that visit.
Photographers interested in arranging client sessions should contact the farm by email. Its event page treats these as separately arranged sessions; it does not publish a session price or make them part of ordinary tree shopping.
