Only trees with colored tags can be selected for field cutting. The tagged height tiers run from 5–6ft to 9–10ft. Fresh-cut trees from the operator’s other farms are displayed in the barnyard.
Visitors cannot cut trees with their own saws, pre-tag trees for a later visit or buy root-dug trees at this choose-and-cut.

The farm visit.
Finding and collecting your tree
Pick up a measuring pole, then walk into the fields or take a hayride on the dates it operates. Find a colored tag and wave the pole broadly when ready for a worker to cut your tree. Busy days can bring long waits at the ride, field cutting and checkout.
Keep the bottom half of the tree ticket and pay inside the Red Barn. Present the ticket at the baler to match it to your tree. Tie-on service is included in the tree price; bring a suitably large vehicle for a large, wide or heavy tree.
Cocoa, cider and greenery
Complimentary cocoa and cider are offered to tree customers on every opening day. Wreaths come in sizes from small to extra large, with White pine roping in 25ft rolls and gift items inside the Red Barn. The adjacent winery is a separate stop; its hours differ from the tree farm.
Terrain and access
Tree fields have steep slopes, stumps and sometimes mud. On quieter Mondays–Thursdays, a visitor with limited mobility may ride in the staff ATV; that option is unavailable on busy days. Visitors may not drive their own vehicle into the fields. The barnyard fresh-cut selection offers a more accessible alternative.
Weather, pets and photographs
Significant rain or snow can close the farm; check live updates before travelling. Dogs must stay leashed. Photographers can use the farm during opening hours, including winery opening hours outside tree season, without scheduling; avoid the busy post-Thanksgiving weekend and keep props manageable because vehicles cannot enter the fields.
Hayrides and visiting food vendors
The calendar lists hayrides, Brick Oven Pizza Truck, Tasty Traveler Food Truck and Nine Tenths Coffee on November 20–22 and 27–29, and December 4–6.
Blue Ridge Kettle Corn is listed for November 27–29. Vendor and ride dates are separate from the farm’s selling days.
Before you go.
- Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted; cash and checks avoid delays from spotty internet.
- 5pm is a hard closing time for the tree fields. If there is too little time for field selection, browse the barnyard fresh-cut trees.
