Choose your Christmas tree.
Choose-and-cut trees include Virginia pine, Carolina Sapphire, cypress and cedar. Fresh-cut Fraser and Concolor fir and White pine come from the NC mountains. Spruce varieties are also offered with a ball-and-burlap root ball.
Field trees are priced at $8–$12 per foot and staff do the cutting; guests may not bring saws or cutting tools.
Pre-cut Fraser firs are typically 5–10ft, with a few 11–13ft trees and tabletop Fraser firs.
Balled-and-burlapped trees are 4–6ft above a 1.5–2ft root ball and weigh about 150lb. Bring a truck or trailer: these trees cannot be loaded in or on a car.

The farm visit.
Tree preparation and loading
Baling, trimming, drilling for drill stands and loading are free. The farm supplies twine and trunk bungees; bring your preferred protective covering if the tree will ride on the roof of your car.
Playtime, hayrides and concessions
Weather permitting, children can use two play sets with swings and climbing, plus a bounce house. Hayrides around the farm are free and run when weather permits. The play area, hayrides and choose-and-cut field close at 5pm; cutting stops by 5:15pm.
The concession stand sells mini doughnuts, locally made hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee, water and sodas. Concessions and hayrides vary by selling day; the farm lists weekend concessions plus Black Friday and the first Friday of December. Check the daily calendar for the facilities available on your date.
Free vehicle reservations
A free reservation is required for November 25, November 27–29 and December 5–6, including collection of a previously tagged tree. Booking opens November 6. Reserve for the vehicle, rather than every person; add additional vehicles through the booking form and bring the confirmation email.
Thanksgiving-weekend and first-December-weekend sessions last 1 hour 15 minutes, with start times from 8am to 4:45pm. November 25 uses one-hour sessions between 8:30am and 1:30pm. Arrive no more than 15 minutes before or 30 minutes after the session begins, and leave by the session’s end.
Reservations run rain or shine. Change or cancel through the TimeTap link in your confirmation email. Walk-ins depend on spare spaces, parking and staffing; an apparently empty lot does not guarantee entry. The farm may also pause entry on other days and can close in severe weather.
Wreaths, greenery and the Christmas shop
Farm-made wreaths use 8–36in rings; popular 12in and 16in rings finish around 20in and 24in. Custom wreaths and swags can be ordered at the farm or online, allowing up to a week for completion. Garland comes in 25–75ft rolls, sold by the roll, with White pine, fir mixes and cypress mixes. Candle rings, bows and custom decorations are also offered.
Browse holiday decorations, gifts, ornaments and goods from local artisans, including honey and pet collars. These are separate purchases from a tree.
Holiday workshops and the farm market
Holiday wreath workshops are planned for November and December, with registration opening in late October. The workshop produces an approximately 18–26in finished wreath; the public store carries dates, times and the specific project description.
Workshops are separately booked and paid in full, non-refundable and normally rain or shine. Most suit ages 13 and up; children under 16 need an adult. Tools, materials and light snacks or seasonal drinks are included. Sessions last 2–3 hours, with 5–15 participants; fewer than five registrations 48 hours beforehand can lead to cancellation with refunds. Severe weather can cause rescheduling. Arrive 15 minutes early and bring a box or protective plastic for your creation; the pavilion is not temperature controlled.
The Christmas opening-weekend farm market is announced for Sunday, November 22, 10am–3pm, with local artisans, crafts and farm products.
Pets, payments and photography
Well-trained pets are welcome on a leash. The farm accepts cash, credit and Apple Pay.
Professional photographers and their clients need appointments. The farm supplies the setting rather than a photographer; see the photographer page for available blocks, fees and booking conditions.
