Find your tree
Choose your Christmas tree.
Pine Lane gives you two different Christmas-tree choices: fresh-cut firs for an indoor seasonal display, or smaller living evergreens sold in containers. Its cut trees range from three to 14 feet, with Fraser, Douglas, Nordmann, Noble and Silver Tip firs named in the winter offering.
Living container trees range from one to five feet. The nursery lists Colorado blue spruce, Austrian pine, Vanderwolf pine and Alberta spruce for this smaller selection. A container tree has different care and planting needs from a cut tree, so talk with the nursery before choosing one for use indoors and afterward.
An earlier holiday announcement also described naturally sparse Noble firs among the choices. Ask which shapes, heights and varieties have arrived before counting on a particular tree; the nursery’s advertised ranges do not guarantee every size is in stock.

Which variety suits your decorations?
General tree guidance; the farm’s selection, sizes and services are described above.
- Fraser fir
- Upward branches and good needle retention; firmer branches can suit heavier ornaments.
- Douglas fir
- Soft needles and more flexible branches, suited to lighter ornaments.
- Blue spruce
- Blue to silver-blue foliage with sharp needle tips.

Cut or living: start with the format
A fresh-cut fir is the larger-format option at Pine Lane, including heights that suit taller rooms. The container-grown range is a useful alternative when you want a smaller evergreen with roots, but nursery advice matters before treating it as a tree to plant later.
| Offering | What to know |
|---|---|
| Fresh-cut firs | 3–14 feet; Fraser, Douglas, Nordmann, Noble and Silver Tip |
| Living container trees | 1–5 feet; blue spruce, Austrian pine, Vanderwolf pine and Alberta spruce |
The Christmas shop
Every November the nursery’s Christmas shop adds holiday décor and gifts. Fresh wreaths, bows, garland and poinsettias have accompanied the trees in its holiday announcements. An earlier season also offered a warm-drink and sweet-treat table throughout tree shopping; check what is being served during your visit.
Use the retail nursery contact for a visitor purchase. Pine Lane’s separate wholesale line and hours serve wholesale arrangements; they are not the retail Christmas-tree schedule.
Plan the holiday visits
The planned programme starts with Ladies Night Out and the Holiday Shop Grand Opening on November 20. Christmas trees are expected the following week, so the shop opening and tree arrival are separate milestones.
The November 28 container workshop is an opportunity to make an outdoor winter arrangement to take home. Wreathmaking follows on December 5, then the December 6 open house brings free visits with Santa, warm drinks and sweet treats. Confirm the times and any workshop price, materials or registration before making plans; those details have not yet been announced.
| Visit | Date | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Ladies Night Out / Holiday Shop opening | November 20 | Event time and activities |
| Christmas trees arrive | Week of November 23 | Expected arrival; actual stock and retail hours |
| Winter Container DIY | November 28 | Time, fee, materials and registration |
| Wreathmaking | December 5 | Time, fee, materials and registration |
| Holiday Open House / Santa | December 6 | Free Santa visits; confirm times and photo arrangements |
Have winter containers made for you
For a finished outdoor arrangement, Pine Lane’s custom-container team can fill pots with winter greens, natural branches and faux berries. Bring your own containers for in-house work, or discuss an on-site service for larger pots. The programme serves homes and businesses, as a one-off visit or through four seasonal changes.
Buying one of the nursery’s containers gives 10% off its custom planting. That is a container-service offer, rather than a discount on Christmas trees. Email Pots@pinelanenursery.com for the design, timing and price.
Delivery and a plan for living trees
The nursery offers Front Range delivery by quotation, charged per truck and destination ZIP code. Standard delivery is curbside only, and requested dates depend on the schedule. Ask whether your chosen Christmas purchase can be included; indoor setup and later removal are separate questions.
If a living tree is intended for the landscape, discuss its care, planting site and installation before buying it. The nursery’s landscape planting is separately charged per plant and size, with delivery added. It normally runs on weekdays from 8am–4pm after utility locating, with an accessible yard and marked planting positions; this is a different service from taking home a cut Christmas tree.
Check returns and seasonal credits
Cut Christmas trees and plants kept in nursery containers or planters are excluded from the plant warranty. Trees that have left the nursery cannot be returned, and sale items are not returnable. Eligible tools, home décor and gifts have a 48-hour return window with a receipt.
Existing nursery warranty credits must be used by December 23 of the year issued; the October newsletter says they may also be spent on holiday favourites. The separate Frequent Flower loyalty programme earns from January through September and redeems in September, so it should not be treated as a Christmas-shopping points offer.
