Find your tree

Choose your Christmas tree.

Check the Christmas range

The earlier Nordmann offer listed 6–7ft and 7–8ft trees. Ask which varieties, heights and prices have been renewed before a tree-only trip.

Choose online or visit

Online orders are selected by nursery staff from available stock. A catalogue photograph does not reserve that particular tree.

Arrange the journey home

Pickup needs a ready notification; local delivery is arranged directly and may cost extra. Discuss the cut tree and destination explicitly.

Fossil Creek's published Christmas selection includes fresh-cut Nordmann firs in six-to-seven and seven-to-eight-foot sizes. This fir's full shape, soft dark-green needles and subtle scent offer an alternative for households that prefer a lower-fragrance tree. The nursery says its farm-fresh trees receive an anti-wilt treatment.

Treat the published sizes as a starting point for an inquiry, then check the renewed selection before visiting. Earlier seasonal collection and product snapshots did not show available trees; those older stock messages do not determine what is at the nursery now. If you order online, staff selects the best available plant or tree from its stock rather than having you choose a particular displayed specimen.

A separate nursery choosing guide also compares Fraser’s soft needles and classic outline, Douglas’s bushy shape and sweet fragrance, and Noble’s sturdy branches for heavier ornaments. These are guide examples rather than a confirmed current inventory list; ask which varieties the nursery has for this season.

Pickup and locally arranged delivery

The nursery's published order arrangements use an email notification when an order is ready, with no guaranteed same-day pickup. Plan to collect within seven calendar days of notification and be ready to sign at collection. Its current refund policy also retains that seven-day pickup window and staff-selection condition. If an ordered item cannot be fulfilled, the published order process says staff contacts you by email or phone about a substitution or refund for that part of the order; it is not an automatic substitution promise.

Local delivery is arranged with the nursery by phone; charges may apply. Discuss the Christmas tree and destination explicitly, since the nursery's broader delivery and planting service also covers landscape plants and supplies. A cut Christmas tree's delivery should not be confused with a landscape installation package.

A little care once it is home

Fossil Creek recommends a sturdy stand that can hold at least a gallon of water, daily water checks and a cool position away from heat and direct sunlight. If you will not decorate immediately, keep the tree cool and shaded with its trunk in water. Allow the branches to settle after taking up water before adding ornaments.

Its care guide recommends plain tap water rather than sugar or aspirin additives. Plan for responsible recycling after the holidays through an appropriate local service; the guide describes recycling options, not a nursery drop-off programme.

A garden-center stop beyond the tree

Fossil Creek is a family-owned nursery set on fifteen acres above Benson Reservoir, with a greenhouse and garden center. Its year-round selection includes houseplants, gardening tools and supplies, pots and outdoor decor, so a visit can include browsing for a gardener as well as checking the Christmas trees.

The nursery also has a classes and events programme. Check the actual current schedule before planning a workshop around tree shopping; a dated class or ticket is a separate arrangement. Landscape design, planting and fountain services are likewise separate from a cut Christmas-tree purchase.

Choose the right gift certificate

Fossil Creek has two gift-certificate formats with different redemption rules. The digital certificate is for online purchases only and cannot be used in person. Choose the physical certificate for an in-store gift; that version cannot be redeemed online.

Physical certificates can be collected at the nursery or sent by free standard USPS mail. For mailing, put the recipient’s name and full shipping address in the order notes. Standard mail has no tracking, and an order without a shipping address defaults to pickup. This certificate-specific mailing option is separate from the nursery’s general plant pickup and local-delivery arrangements.
