Find your tree

Choose your Christmas tree.

Rossview’s Christmas trees are balsam, Fraser and balsam–Fraser hybrids. The latest posted guide describes trees from three to twelve feet, with the strongest selection in the four-to-six-foot range. Those are retained selection details, rather than confirmation of this season’s ready trees.

Each regular tree is marked individually for size, shape and quality. Read the actual tree’s mark; the published six-foot example is not a formula to apply to every size.

The separate Bargain Basement selection offers trees with more irregular character. A willingness to choose an unconventional shape can make it worth exploring, subject to the farm’s current stock update.

Fraser fir
Upward branches and good needle retention; firmer branches can suit heavier ornaments.

Cutting and payment arrangements

Saws are available for the field visit, and fuel-powered chainsaws are prohibited.

Bring cash, or a good check and identification if the purchase is more than $20. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. Pets should stay at home.

Wreaths made from farm greenery

Handmade wreaths use bows and cones together with pine, cedar and winterberry harvested on the farm. They can be ordered ahead, bought during tree sales or collected by appointment. For early pickup and wreath arrangements, email rlwoodard@yahoo.com.

The wreath shop has a woodstove, and farm maple syrup is another product to look for. Arrange the actual wreath order and pickup directly with the farm.

A growing farm, with seasons kept distinct

Rossview’s Christmas crop reflects decades of tree maintenance and attention to soil health. The individually judged trees and Bargain Basement choices let visitors compare shape and character within the real crop rather than expect a uniform rack of identical trees.

Maple syrup connects the Christmas stop to the wider farm. Berries and pumpkins belong to other seasonal visits, and their hours should not be used for a Christmas-tree trip.

Photography and media visits

Photoshoots are not permitted as part of the ordinary visit. Media visitors need the owner’s consent and should check in before accessing the property, conducting interviews or taking pictures. Arrange that purpose directly instead of treating a tree-shopping visit as an open photography booking.
