Find your tree
Choose your Christmas tree.
Monadnock View focuses on Fralsam, the Fraser–balsam hybrid valued for sturdy branches, scent and needle retention.
Only trees already tagged by the farm are ready to harvest. Those tags identify mature saleable stock, rather than customer advance reservations; the farm does not offer advance tagging. Choose among the marked trees, then staff cut the selection and carry it back to the vehicle as part of the price.
The field visit includes an approximately ten-minute nature-trail approach and a view toward Mount Monadnock. That is an approach to the trees, rather than a total visit duration or an accessible-route claim. A small pre-cut selection offers an alternative to the walk, subject to availability.

A quieter way to choose a tree
The attraction here is the tree hunt and the hillside view, rather than a large program of rides and entertainment. The practical decision is which ready Fralsam suits your home.
The farm guarantees that the tree is fresh-cut on the day of purchase. Its condition after leaving depends on the care it receives; that is a harvest-date promise rather than a guarantee of how long a tree will last indoors.
Wreaths and visit arrangements
Handmade decorated farm wreaths are offered while supplies last.
Coordinate the visit by emailing monadnockviewfarm@gmail.com, including any request to come earlier than the regular selling schedule, and obtain arrival directions in that exchange. Dogs should stay home or in the vehicle, and professional photography is not offered.
A family planting brought back to life
The family cleared and planted the first tree fields decades ago. After a pause following the original grower’s death, Ron and his wife restarted the operation and began planting new crops each year.
The work remains hands-on: planting, weed and insect control, fertilizing and shearing all precede the mature-tree tags visitors see at Christmas. Northern New Hampshire nursery stock spends years in the nursery and then roughly eight to ten more years growing toward an eight-foot tree. That long cycle explains why only selected mature trees may be cut.
