Choose your Christmas tree.
Wolf Hill’s shared Christmas selection includes balsam fir from 3–15 feet and Fraser fir from 3–12 feet. Trees 10 feet and taller are limited and can sell quickly, so check this branch’s stock before travelling for a large tree. This is garden-centre retail, with individual availability varying between Gloucester and Ipswich.
Wreaths, kissing balls, holiday logs, urn inserts and hanging arrangements are made by the Wolf Hill team. Custom pieces can be requested when the necessary materials are available. Poinsettias, frosty ferns, lemon cypress, amaryllis and paperwhites offer separate living-plant choices.

Holiday shops and treats
Ipswich’s two-storey gift shop is decorated for Christmas from November 1, with ornaments, ribbons, bows, home decorations and artificial greenery.
The shared Christmas page describes hot cider and sweet treats on seasonal weekends, plus support for local food businesses on Small Business Saturday. Check the branch and day rather than assume refreshments operate throughout every shopping hour. Stands and several kinds of holiday lights are also sold.
Before visiting
The stores remain open year-round, with hours changing by season and weather. The current Ipswich hours are Monday–Saturday 8am–5pm and Sunday 9am–4pm. Dogs are welcome. Use the branch’s voice number for calls; its separately labelled text-only number is a different contact channel.
Published shop discounts
The general FAQ lists a 10% senior discount on Tuesdays for ages 65+, and 10% for military members and veterans on any day with valid identification. Ask whether the particular tree, greens or other purchase qualifies before budgeting a discounted total; the FAQ does not provide a current numeric tree price.
Past wreath classes used a heated greenhouse, while earlier Sip & Shop and Santa promotions had specific dates and purchase conditions. Those event dates and promotional discounts have expired; use a newly announced event listing for any future class, admission or offer.
Previously published Ipswich wreath classes
The last published Ipswich wreath-decorating programme ran November 29 and December 6, 5–7pm. A ticket included one 12-inch balsam base wreath plus greens, berries, ribbon, wire, pinecones, shiny balls and other decorations. Participants could follow a template or create their own design.
Classes used a heated greenhouse with an outdoor walk from parking, so warm layers and closed-toe shoes or boots were recommended. Tickets were nonrefundable. Those specific dates have passed; confirm the next class, price and place before arranging a visit.
Separate firewood choices
Wolf Hill’s shared firewood department lists green, semi-seasoned, seasoned and kiln-dried wood year round, with ordering links for each branch. Its hardwood mix includes birch, oak, beech and maple, generally split to 16–20-inch lengths. Confirm the branch’s product, quantity, price and collection or delivery arrangement separately from a tree purchase.
Choose the drying stage for when you intend to use the wood. Green wood is not ready for the current burning season. Semi-seasoned wood still contains moisture and is not recommended by the store for immediate fireplace use. Seasoned wood is stored outdoors and can carry rain moisture; the store recommends kiln-dried wood for immediate use and indoor storage.
| Product | Published condition |
|---|---|
| Green hardwood | Not ready to burn this season; needs seasoning for the next burning season |
| Semi-seasoned hardwood | Still contains moisture; not recommended for immediate fireplace use |
| Seasoned hardwood | Cut and split for six months or more; stored outdoors and may retain rain moisture |
| Kiln-dried hardwood | Recommended by the store for immediate burning and covered indoor storage |
Shop return conditions
Most nonplant merchandise can be returned within 15 days with the original receipt, condition and packaging; marked final-sale items and special orders are excluded. Seasonal and holiday merchandise has no store credit after that 15-day window. The general policy accepts no plant returns; confirm the terms for the particular cut tree before buying rather than assume a nursery-plant warranty applies.
Refunds depend on the original payment method as below. The return window and item eligibility still apply; contact the branch about the particular item.
| Original payment | Refund method or condition |
|---|---|
| Cash purchases over $50 | Check within 15 days; otherwise store credit under the policy |
| Check | After the original check clears; may take up to 14 days |
| Credit card | Original card must be present for card refund; otherwise store credit |
| Debit card | Cash under $20 or a check; not refunded to the debit card |
| Gift card | New Wolf Hill gift card |
