Choose your Christmas tree.
Mistletoe’s field choices include Fraser, concolor and Canaan fir and blue spruce. The field selection ranges from fuller premium shapes to sparse Charlie Brown trees. Blue spruce is described as pricklier, with stout branches for heavier ornaments; ask which varieties and sizes are available when you visit.
The operator’s precut selection is premium Fraser fir from growers in New Hampshire and Quebec. It says those trees are cut a week or two before arriving and stored in barns away from sun and wind. This is the farm’s description of its sourcing and storage; confirm the current selection and price before travelling.
The posted season heading and the weekday/date pattern disagree. Confirm the actual season and opening day with the farm before using the published calendar below. Cash or checks are accepted, an ATM is on site, and credit cards are not accepted. Leashed dogs are welcome.

The farm visit.
Plan around the opening-calendar conflict
The opening notice gives 8:30am–4pm on its listed days, but its season heading and weekday dates do not agree. Contact the farm to confirm which calendar is intended before travelling. The farm also describes free hot cocoa, free candy canes, a fire pit and festive music; separately booked Santa and photography sessions have their own fees and conditions.
Wreaths, winterberry and the gift shop
Wreaths range from 12 to 54 inches, including plain, mixed-fir, Noble fir and specialty decorated choices. Prices start at $22 and rise with size, material and decorations; handmade bows offer additional styles. Garland is sold in ten-foot lengths, alongside swags, kissing balls and farm-grown winterberry.
The gift shop carries ornaments, signs, small seasonal gifts, books, jewelry and handmade Christmas dog collars. Tree stands are sold for trees from about 6 to 14 feet and larger. These are retail choices rather than an advertised wreath-making class.
Previously published Santa Selfies
The separate Santa Selfies offer lists $12 for one person or $20 for a family. Visitors use their own phone or camera; a parent or Mrs. Claus can take the picture. Reserve a 30-minute arrival window for a short personal session. Walk-ins depend on space, and advance registration is strongly recommended because sessions have sold out. Payment is cash or check, with an ATM on site.
Its previously published dates are November 23 and November 28–30, 10am–2pm. The homepage instead lists Santa at 9am–1pm on selected opening days. These calendars and times disagree; confirm the next Santa programme and its actual hours before reserving. A Santa selfie does not include a professional edited-photo package.
| Session | Published fee | Arrangement |
|---|---|---|
| One person | $12 | Short own-camera session within a reserved 30-minute arrival window |
| Family | $20 | Same arrangement; walk-ins only if space remains |
Farm rentals for family and professional photos
Individual families can rent an hour for $70 and bring their own photographer or take pictures themselves. Photo rentals require a scheduled appointment; there are no walk-ins. Leashed dogs are welcome. The rental notice says October and November weekends are fully booked, with no weekend shoots after tree sales start; ask about a weekday rather than assume an open slot.
Professional shoots may be arranged by the hour, half-day, full day or multiple days at quoted rates. The farm books one photographer at a time. Ask markharnett@comcast.net about the proposed date, scope and price. Barn workspace and parking offered to commercial crews are part of those arranged rentals.
| Use | Published price | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Individual family | $70 per hour | Bring your camera or photographer; advance appointment |
| Professional or commercial shoot | Quoted | Hour, half-day, full-day or multiday arrangements; one photographer at a time |
Professional photo minisessions
The separate minisession offer is $300 for a 15-minute exclusive shoot with 7–10 professionally edited digital images. Its announced November 21–22 and November 28 dates need confirmation alongside the farm’s opening-calendar conflict. Sessions depend on weather and are cancelled if the farm closes.
The photography team handles questions at mistletoephoto@gmail.com or 617-202-8672, including upgraded packages. This is a photographer contact, distinct from the farm’s general line. Use an available session from the operator’s sign-up page; no remaining slot is established here.
Tree-pull events are separate
The Newfoundland Club of New England lists tree-pull events at this farm on November 21, 22 and 27. Check the club’s event arrangements if you want to include a dog-assisted tree pull; those scheduled activities do not define every public tree-selling hour or the farm’s general pet policy.
Confirm the Whitman Street entrance
The current operator and official agriculture record give 141 Whitman Street, while the regional agriculture guide lists 149. Confirm the actual entrance with the farm at 978-298-5688 or markharnett@comcast.net before travelling. A separate club tree-pull date does not resolve the opening-calendar or entrance discrepancy.
Before you go.
- Confirm the actual Whitman Street tree entrance: the current operator and official agriculture profile give 141, while the regional guide lists 149.
