Choose your Christmas tree.

Maple Crest’s Christmas crop occupies four fields overlooking the Indian Hill Reservoir area. Its choose-and-cut selection includes Canaan, Douglas, concolor, Fraser and balsam fir, with some trees over 8 feet.

The farm supplies saws, sleds and twine and will wrap your tree. Bring cash or a local check for payment. Check the current Christmas opening and available heights with Farmer John before choosing a day.

Farm events and educational visits

The post-and-beam pavilion can be booked for gatherings and field-trip groups. School visits focus on farming, the environment and sustainability, and professional photography is arranged separately. Contact the farm to plan those uses; they do not follow automatically from buying a Christmas tree.

Tree Walk and summer berries

The adjoining Indian Hill Reservoir Tree Walk is a one-mile route identifying 16 tree species. Ask about the current route and conditions before setting out; its description does not establish a surfaced or accessible trail.

Summer fruit visits include June strawberries and July blueberries, with picking cartons, drinking water, shaded picnic tables and swings described by the farm. Check crop updates and hours first. Honey and seasonal produce are sold at the farmstand. These growing-season visits have their own availability rather than being Christmas-tree inclusions.

Pavilion parties can use guests’ own food or a local caterer. Educational visits include soil and water testing and farm programs; arrange the group, date and facilities directly. Booked photography and field trips also have separate arrangements.
