Choose your Christmas tree.
At this town-owned Duxbury farm, choose a tree in the field and volunteers cut it and help secure it to your vehicle. Bring cash or a check. The published sale is a short two-day program, with opening dependent on both weather and remaining trees.
The farm’s established selection includes white and Colorado blue spruce, concolor, Fraser and Canaan fir. Earlier published stock ranged from 6 feet to as tall as 18 feet. Check the current crop before planning around a particular species or an unusually tall tree.

The previously published two-day sale
The town’s latest dated sale notice listed December 6–7, 9am–4pm, weather and inventory permitting. That is a previous program, rather than a newly confirmed season: check the town announcement before travelling. Its height-based prices are preserved below as useful planning guidance, with the individual tree’s price to be confirmed.
| Published height band | Price |
|---|---|
| Up to 6½ feet | $95 |
| 6½ feet up to 8 feet | $110 |
| 8 feet up to 10 feet | $135 |
| Over 10 feet | $160 |
Finding the farm and asking about the sale
Use the tree farm at 214-Rear West Street. The Conservation Department’s Tremont Street address is an office, not the tree entrance. Its public office contact handles the town farm’s information; ask about the current sale and inventory before setting off. Cutting is done by volunteers, so the published program does not call for visitors to bring a chainsaw.
