The farm visit.
A tree prepared for the trip home
Staff shake out loose needles and debris, prune unwanted branches, make a fresh straight cut to the length you need and net-wrap the tree. Heavy-duty twine is supplied free. If you use a Stand Strait pin stand, the special tapered hole is drilled as part of the tree purchase; compatible stands are also sold.
Measure your ceiling and check the size rating of your stand before visiting. Measuring sticks are supplied at the farm, and conventional stands and watering funnels are available to buy.
Wreaths, payment and dogs
Handmade wreaths and swags come with hand-crafted bows, with prices varying by size, decorations and materials; their posted prices include sales tax. Bring cash or a check: credit cards, debit cards and Venmo are not accepted. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash.
Use 120 Granite Street for the approach, off Route 140 near Foxborough Center. Arrive within your reserved half-hour window; the farm allows you to stay after that arrival window to choose your tree.
Choose a stand for the tree’s height
Indian Rock sells both pin stands and conventional Cinco clamp stands. The Super Bowl pin stand has a 20-inch base, holds 1.8 gallons and is rated for trees up to 8 feet; choose by the stated rating rather than assuming that it supports a taller tree. Staff drill its tapered hole after making the fresh trunk cut. Do not recut that drilled trunk at home, as this can affect how securely it fits.
The three listed Cinco stands offer different height limits and water capacities. Check the individual tree and stand together before purchase; stand prices and stock are separate from the included drilling service.
| Stand model | Rated tree height | Water capacity / base |
|---|---|---|
| Cinco 152 Express | Up to 8 feet | 1.3 gallons / 18 inches |
| Cinco 148 Express | Up to 10 feet | 2 gallons / 20 inches |
| Cinco 144 Express | Up to 12 feet | 3 gallons / 24 inches |
