Choose your Christmas tree.
Hyannis Country Garden’s Christmas shopping season runs from mid-November through December. Fresh-cut Fraser and balsam firs are offered in sizes up to 12 feet, with live potted and artificial trees as separate choices. Staff help compare trees in the yard.
Every real Christmas tree receives a complimentary fresh trunk cut, trim, net-wrap and car loading. Choose a stand suited to the tree and put its base into water promptly after the trip home. Ask about stock and individual prices before travelling for a particular size.

Custom greenery and the Christmas shop
The store, patio and greenhouse carry wreaths, greens, ornaments, lights and holiday plants. The design team makes custom wreaths, urns, birdbath toppers, swags and arrangements; discuss the size and design you need in store.
A separate lighting service tests and, where possible, repairs lights on trees, wreaths and other decorations. The posted fee is $10 for diagnosis plus an additional $15 for bulb replacement. These are lighting-service charges, not a fee for the complimentary real-tree preparation.
Returns and visiting hours
Christmas trees, Christmas merchandise and nursery stock purchased in November or December cannot be returned. Christmas trees and November–December nursery stock are not guaranteed, so the ordinary nursery protections should not be applied to them. Check the choice carefully before purchase.
General store hours are Monday–Saturday 8am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. Use 380 West Main Street in Hyannis and check for Christmas-hour changes; the public contact is the store’s local retail line.
Book a seasonal making workshop
The announced workshop calendar includes seven paid projects in November. Registration is required; use the individual event page to check the actual place and ticket status before making plans. The listed materials and instruction are included where stated, while the pot-workshop display baskets are not: you may bring your own basket.
The November 13 succulent-pumpkin project includes the pumpkin, moss, plants, accents and cider. On November 19, the mini pot includes a small pot, soil, tropical plants and a poinsettia or cyclamen; the jumbo version uses a larger pot and poinsettia. Both include accessories and cider.
The Cape Cod wreath uses a balsam wreath, shells, pine cones and a bow; Woodland uses natural materials and a choice of bow. The air-plant wreath has a gold or silver hoop, moss, accessories, one large air plant and two mini air plants. These three prices are per wreath. The Thanksgiving centerpiece uses fresh greens, shells and artificial fruit with materials and C. L. Fornari’s instruction.

Holiday open house and Santa
The November 21 open house runs during store hours, with crafts, photo opportunities, bows and arrangements, special workshops, book signing, coffee and barbecue trucks, cider and popcorn. Some activities and purchases have their own charges; the open house is not an all-inclusive food or workshop ticket.
Santa is announced for December 6, noon–2pm, for families and pets. No registration is required; keep dogs leashed. Check any separate photo charges before visiting.
Private workshops and delivery enquiries
Private events have a posted $100 setup, breakdown, chair and facility charge, with another $75 for specified decorating and plant stock. A private workshop has a separate facility fee of $100 for up to ten people or $200 for 11–25, plus materials charged per person. Ask events@countrygarden.com about the date, project and package; peak seasons and store events affect availability.
General plant-and-supply delivery around Cape Cod is quoted, with Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard shipping discussed separately. Ask specifically about a Christmas tree and destination; those general services do not establish a fixed tree-delivery fee or automatic eligibility.
Plan ahead for a living tree
A potted tree needs a planting plan before it becomes an indoor decoration. Country Garden’s living-tree guide recommends choosing its eventual garden position and digging the planting hole before the ground freezes. Gradually bring the tree toward indoor conditions over three to four days in a garage or enclosed porch, and keep its indoor stay to four or five days.
Choose a cool position away from heating ducts. Use a tub or bucket to contain the roots, keep the soil moist rather than saturated, then plant in the prepared place after the holidays. Ask staff about the particular tree, its mature size and lifting requirements before purchase.
