Choose your Christmas tree.
Highfields grows Fraser and concolor fir for choose-and-cut visits, with a few fresh-cut trees also available. The farm supplies saws, tarps and tying twine, and helpers can assist with cutting. Shaking and baling are free, so the loose needles can be removed and the tree wrapped before you take it home.
An eight-foot Fraser is listed at $115 including tax, while concolor trees are listed at $95 without a stated height basis. Smaller tree-top trees, around 4–7 feet, are offered at lower prices; choose from the actual selection rather than treating the eight-foot Fraser example as a rate for every tree. Concolor has soft blue-green needles and a citrus scent, giving it a different look and fragrance from Fraser.

The farm visit.
Arrive during the opening weekend
The farm opens November 27 and lists 8am–4pm for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. Later weekends depend on remaining trees, and Highfields says it often sells out in one weekend. There is no pretagging. Check for a confirmed later opening before making a second-weekend trip.
Greens, gifts and a warm drink
Wreaths, ornaments, stands, watering accessories, birch logs and tree cleanup bags are available. Complimentary warm cider and candy canes provide a pause after the tree search. Smaller “Charlie Brown” trees are another option for a child’s room or a smaller display.
Payment, dogs and photography
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted; a convenience fee is added to card payments, with the amount to be confirmed. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a leash, and owners must clean up after them. Professional holiday photography is arranged separately through the farm’s preferred photographers.
