Choose your Christmas tree.

Greenwood offers choose-and-cut trees as well as ready-cut balsam and Fraser fir. The homepage lists field trees at $85 plus tax, precut balsam at $11 per foot and Fraser at $15 per foot up to 12 feet; larger trees are individually priced. Some tall specimens are 12–18 feet, so check available heights before travelling.

The farm supplies help with cutting, drilling, hauling, wrapping and securing trees, with saws and twine available. Its homepage accepts cards, though an older FAQ retains cash-and-check-only language and a different balsam rate. Confirm the price and payment arrangement before selecting a tree. Chainsaws are prohibited.

The published field selection is mostly Fraser fir with balsam and Canaan fir, while the ready-cut racks carry Fraser and balsam. The older field-closure notice still requires a new opening check; the species list is a description of the planted selection rather than a promise that cutting has reopened.

The farm visit.

Cider, honey and the farm shop

The gift shop explicitly offers free warm cider and honey samples, alongside cider donuts, wreaths made with the farm’s Fraser brush, candles, baskets, glassware and carved ornaments. The farm also lists animals; ask what viewing access is available on the day. Free parking and leashed dogs are described.

The latest retrieved field notice reports choose-and-cut closed and a final tree day of Sunday, December 7, with a few precuts remaining. That belongs to a previously published season, not a new-season closure. Check the next field and stock announcement before relying on the recurring Wednesday–Friday noon–4pm or weekend 9am–4pm pattern. Monday and Tuesday are closed in that contact schedule.
