Tree season: Published Christmas tree programme begins in December; confirm selling days
Choose your Christmas tree.
Dowse’s published Christmas programme describes 15 acres of trees and seven varieties, with field selection beginning in December. You choose the tree and the Dowse crew cuts it for you. Premium precut trees are also offered. Ask which varieties and sizes remain and where to check in for the field before travelling.
The Christmas visit includes free trailer rides to the tree fields and free hot mulled cider, with a campfire for warming up. Christmas flowers and decorating materials accompany the trees. Confirm the actual selling days and available trees; the separate apple-picking address does not establish the Christmas-tree entrance.
The farm visit.
Use the farmstand location
The matched market address is 98 North Main Street. Keep a tree pickup at the stand separate from the 30 Rockwood Road apple-picking lead, and arrange any different field destination directly with the farm.
Farmstand produce and cider
The stand offers more than 20 apple varieties in season, fresh cider, maple syrup, preserves and gift packs. Flowers, perennials and greenhouse plants belong to its growing-season selection. Separate apple picking is arranged in orchards with low reachable trees, and the crew can answer questions and help; no ladder is needed for the advertised picking experience.
The stand is on Route 27, about half a mile north of the Route 16 junction. Its public contact is 508-653-2639 or toll-free 877-653-2639, with farmstand@dowseorchards.com. Use the farmstand contact to establish tree stock, selling times and the actual field entrance. Apples-by-mail is a separate quoted service; its weekday shipping-office hours are not tree-shopping hours.
Planning the December tree visit
The general annual calendar places the tree programme in December and then closes the farmstand until May 1. It does not provide exact Christmas selling days or clock hours. Arrange the particular visit with the farm, especially if you plan to use the field trailer rather than shop the precut selection.
