Choose your Christmas tree.

D.J. Hussey lets visitors choose a tree in the field, while staff do all cutting with motorized saws. Customers do not cut their own trees. The grower lists balsam, Fraser and concolor fir, blue, white and Norway spruce, with trees up to 13 feet; trees over 8 feet are limited.

For advance tagging, check in at the grey barn, choose and pay for a tree, and keep its unique-number tag. Tell the farm when to cut during pick-your-own season, then collect at the barn during regular pickup hours. For a same-day field choice, walk the scenic trail to the field; staff cut and deliver the tree to the barn for shaking, baling and measuring.

Two ways to plan the visit

Tagging runs weekends October 3–November 15, 9am–2pm, without an appointment. Field selection runs weekends November 21–December 20, 9am–2pm, as weather and field conditions allow, also without an appointment. Staff cut all trees; do not bring a saw. Tagged-tree collection is arranged at the grey barn during the published pickup hours.

Christmas shop and farm rules

The Christmas shop opens for the field-selection season with greens, seasonal products and textiles on the first floor and outside. Wreaths and greens can be preordered through the farm. Dogs are not permitted. Use 20 Burgess Road, rather than the old regional address variant.

Wreaths and made-to-order greens

The farm makes wreaths and greens using its balsam, white pine and laurel, with other mixes according to available materials. Decorated wreaths include a choice of four decorative picks, or berries, cones and a bow. Undecorated wreaths are $5 less than the listed decorated size. Preorder by phone or during tagging if you need a particular size or arrangement.

Pine roping is $10 per yard, a large swag $50, mailbox decorations and kissing balls $35, and a white-birch cemetery box or miniature tree $45. The Christmas shop also has local and fair-trade handmade ornaments, quilts and wall hangings. These are individual purchases rather than tree-price inclusions.

Cordwood is a separate service

The farm’s J & J Services also supplies seasoned cordwood by the bundle, bin or truckload, with a one-cord minimum for delivery. Request the actual rate, destination and delivery arrangement directly; these services are separate from tree cutting, tagged-tree pickup and holiday-greenery orders.
