Choose your Christmas tree.

Crane Neck’s upper-hill harvest offers choose-and-cut Douglas fir to about 7 feet and Canaan fir around 5–7 feet at $90 for any available height. Blue spruce around 5–6 feet is available by appointment only: arrange that visit with Jeb at 978-270-9365 or TK at 978-270-9364.

Own precut Douglas and Canaan firs around 3–6 feet are $20–$80 according to height and fullness, while supplies last. These are separate smaller-tree offers; inspect the actual tree and price before purchase. Cash and checks are accepted, with no cards.

The announced main opening is November 27, 9am–3:30pm. November 28 depends on the remaining inventory; check the farm’s update by 7pm on November 27 for that day’s hours and prices. The upper hill is in its final harvest season because its lease ends after Christmas; the lower 114 Crane Neck Street barn area and the Wood Street operation are intended to continue.

The farm visit.

Cutting, handling and the journey home

Borrow a handsaw or bring your own handsaw or cordless reciprocating saw. Chainsaws and advance tagging are not allowed. Wrapping and drilling are free, and twine is supplied. Secure the tree to your own vehicle; the farm recommends a roof rack and suitable bungees or tie-downs. Its estimate for a field visit is 30–60 minutes, depending on the tree search and conditions.

Leashed dogs are allowed with cleanup. Wagons are for trees only, not passenger rides. Ask the farm about disability accommodations before the visit; the published assistance offer is not a guarantee that every hill or field is accessible. The 978-363-1272 number is a recorded-information line; use the appointment contacts for a blue-spruce arrangement.

Field and precut offers

Choose the actual tree and price before cutting or loading. The two $90field offers are Douglas and Canaan fir; blue spruce has an appointment requirement and no separate numeric rate is stated. Discount precuts depend on remaining stock.

Measure before setting out

Crane Neck supplies measuring sticks and recommends measuring the intended space at home before searching the field, where a tree can look smaller. Bring a tape measure if you need a precise fit, and plan vehicle space and tie-downs for the actual tree chosen.

Before you go.

  • For the upper-hill tree visit use the Crane Neck Street/Middle Street intersection. Do not stop or turn around at the small Middle Street bridge. The lower barn at 114 Crane Neck Street is a different sales area; follow the current farm instructions.
