Choose your Christmas tree.

Coonamessett Farm’s published Christmas offering combines ready-cut trees with wreaths, centerpieces and swags at its Hatchville Road farm stand. Check the latest holiday stock before travelling; a remaining-tree clearance message is not an assurance of the next season’s stock or discount.

The ordinary farm and stand hours are 9am–5pm daily. This is the farm at 277 Hatchville Road, distinct from the similarly named Coonamessett Bog tree farm on Boxberry Hill Road.

The farm visit.

Extend the visit with farm access

The wider 20-acre farm has growing areas and animals, with day passes at $10 per person and household memberships as a separate purchase. Farm access is not established as an admission charge just to buy a retail tree. The advertised membership offer covers the remainder of this year and the following calendar year; check the membership year when joining.

The stand adds pastries, honey, sauces, gift baskets and alpaca goods. The café currently offers fresh, refrigerated and frozen food choices and catered events rather than a promised full restaurant service every day. The established animal program includes alpacas, goats and sheep. Ask which animal and growing areas are open for a winter visit.

Farm shares and educational visits

The farm’s next-season produce and cheese CSA is separate from Christmas shopping and requires a farm membership. The published application offers eight-, twelve- and eighteen-week shares, with produce at $345, $435 or $585 and the cheese option at $115, $170 or $250 respectively. The table shows the application’s planned dates; check the application year and remaining places before joining.

Educational tours are posted at $10 per person with a $100 minimum; children under two are free. Picking, a hayride or a craft can be added for an extra fee. Arrange the group at events@coonamessett.net rather than assuming a public tour runs with Christmas shopping.

Choose one pickup day: Thursday 3–6pm or Saturday 10am–1pm. Eight- and twelve-week shares may be staggered across the eighteen-week season, using the same chosen weekday. Produce varies with the crops and can include field salad, seasonal vegetables, an herb and garden plants or flowers, plus an in-season pick-your-own berry coupon. Cooperating local farms can supply produce, and cheese comes from farms within 100 miles.

The application is a season-long, nonrefundable commitment. Members are responsible for collecting each share at the designated time; special arrangements require at least one week’s notice. Anyone unable to complete the season must designate another Coonamessett Farm member to receive the remaining shares. Crop conditions can affect the target amount. The established application process is by mail or at the stand with check payment; confirm those arrangements with the next-season form.

Children’s parties and the seasonal buffet

A member must book a children’s party. The posted $450 package covers up to 40 people and 3½ hours including setup and cleanup, with a pavilion and day-pass privileges. A 30-minute tour is an extra $60; other activities are quoted. Bring your own cake, paper goods and decorations, but no balloons.

The latest Jamaican buffet season is marked ended. Its previous all-inclusive prices were $45 for adults or $36 for the enhanced membership rate, $20 for children aged 4–9 or $16 for member children, and free under four, including the stated 7% tax and 10% tip. Check the next buffet announcement rather than treating a membership benefit as a running winter meal service.

Separately booked sauna and cold plunge

Cape Kiln operates a separate sauna and cold-plunge booking at the farm. Shared visits are one hour with up to five in the sauna; each person needs a reserved place and waiver. Bring swimwear and a towel to sit on, rinse before use and leave footwear outside the sauna. Alcohol and nudity are prohibited; private changing tents and a portable toilet are provided.

Private groups of up to ten can book, with five using the sauna at once: 90 minutes is $225 for members or $250 for nonmembers, and two hours is $300 or $325 respectively. Public sessions advertise a $10 member discount, but no base price is established here. Use the operator’s current calendar; its summer hours do not establish Christmas opening.

The posted Christmas calendar

The separately posted calendar lists tree sales beginning November 27, 9am–5pm, and a final seasonal day on December 24, 9am–2pm. It also lists Thanksgiving as closed. Confirm those dates with the farm before travelling: the calendar contains inconsistent weekday labels and does not establish a fully renewed Christmas selling schedule.
