Choose your Christmas tree.
Allandale’s established holiday program includes Christmas trees, greenery and ornaments. Its farm market remains open during construction, but space and access are limited; check the current holiday announcement before planning a tree purchase or assuming the earlier tent layout remains.
The farm currently has no pick-your-own fields or hayrides, and the replacement store is anticipated for the following year. The latest ordinary market schedule is Wednesday and Friday 1–6pm and Saturday 10am–4pm, separate from any forthcoming Christmas-tree selling hours.
The farm visit.
Check access during construction
The farm spans the Boston–Brookline boundary, and its public address blocks use both municipalities. Confirm the signed visitor entrance and parking for the holiday visit. Spring greenhouse directions mentioning designated accessible parking do not establish an accessible Christmas shopping route.
For retail questions use the market extension, 1, on 617-524-1531; extension 2 is the administrative office. Ask about the current tree selection, selling days and any specific mobility needs before travelling.
The small construction-season market
The limited market sells farm vegetables and seasonal local apples and pumpkins as available. Jordan Brothers Fish visits Wednesday and Friday, 2pm–6pm, within the separate market opening. Check that week’s selection and construction access before combining the stop with another errand.
Follow the signed approach and parking instructions. Designated accessible spaces are by the greenhouse and a convenience loading area is used after purchase; that does not establish an accessible route to every field or a confirmed holiday-tree entrance.
CSA pickup and crop-risk conditions
The published program assigns a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday pickup, 1pm–6:30pm, with no ordinary switching. Bring a bag and collect at the Harvest Barn garage, using the main lot rather than driving to the barn; staff can help carry, or a friend can collect. For an exceptional one-time day change, email by Monday noon under the agreement’s procedure.
The share program offers a 10% in-store discount on pickup days and a swap box. Members accept the crop risk, with no refund for crop loss or failure. These collection windows and benefits are separate from the limited public-market hours and Christmas-tree sales.
Events during construction
No future private-event bookings are being accepted, children’s birthday parties are not offered and community events are not being scheduled during construction. Older rental and corporate-offsite packages are not currently bookable offers. The current no-hayride rule also applies despite older share or event descriptions.
Thanksgiving preorders and collection
The posted Thanksgiving collection windows are Tuesday, November 24, 9am–6pm, and Wednesday, November 25, 9am–4pm. Bring the order confirmation. A turkey reservation takes a $50 deposit; the final charge is the actual weight at $6.19 per pound, less that deposit, with the balance due at pickup. Published size bands run from 10–12 to 22–24 pounds. Order no more than four pies.
The FAQ requests 72 hours’ cancellation notice and also names Sunday, November 22, for forwarding the confirmation email to rachel@allandalefarm.com. Confirm the cutoff applying to your chosen pickup; the published process refunds the order on the next business day. Existing orders cannot be increased, but a second order may be placed while items remain available. Seasonal vegetables and herbs are bought on the day, with no advance reservation. Phone ordering help is Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, separate from market opening hours.
