Choose your Christmas tree.
Agway’s three Cape Cod garden centers offer cut Fraser and balsam fir trees from tabletop sizes to around 12 feet. Staff help compare the varieties, give the trunk a fresh cut, wrap it and secure it to your car. Check the Orleans store’s actual stock and prices before travelling for a particular height.
Tabletop trees include a plastic leakproof water-holding stand. Separate living trees are offered in 1–7-gallon containers, with Colorado blue, Alberta and Serbian spruce named and an item labelled “Nordman Fir Spruce”; confirm that variety when ordering. They are heavier than a cut tree; discuss moving and later planting before choosing one. Artificial trees are another separate option. Store stock varies, so a listed variety is not a guarantee at every branch.

Wreaths and seasonal decorations
The holiday greenery range includes hand-framed, double-sided balsam and mixed-green wreaths from 8 to 48 inches, offered plain, with bows or decorated with cones and coastal details. Custom arrangements and other greens are separate purchases.
Buy cut greens by the pound or bunch, and roping by the yard or coil. The stores can refill window boxes or make a custom theme with bows and ribbon by the yard. Kissing balls, cemetery boxes, mailbox wraps and swags add other choices, with poinsettias, cyclamen, Christmas cactus and amaryllis for indoors.

Store hours and taking it home
The Orleans garden center’s general hours are Monday–Friday 8am–5:30pm, Saturday 8am–5pm and Sunday 9am–5pm. The tree department is seasonal from November; check holiday changes and availability. Once a cut tree is prepared, get its base into water promptly, using a bucket if you are not ready to put it into a stand.
Pickup, delivery and seasonal returns
Christmas trees and holiday greenery have no returns or guarantees. The ordinary nursery guarantee and hard-goods return policy do not apply to them, so check the individual tree and greenery before purchase.
Curbside pickup is available; wait for the ready notice before collecting. The business has also published a delivery service between Barnstable and Provincetown with a $49 minimum, arranged through Dennis or Orleans. That is an older general shopping service rather than a confirmed Christmas-tree delivery quote: ask about the tree, destination, current minimum and fee before ordering.
Compare the cut firs
Fraser fir has slightly upward, thicker branches that suit heavier ornaments and offers strong needle retention. Balsam has a fuller-looking double needle pattern and a more pronounced traditional fragrance. Compare the actual tree’s shape and branch strength before choosing.
